  • Maybe it takes you longer to finish your makeup than you originally thought. Maybe you need to use the restroom, have a snack or hang out with your wedding party. Keep in mind all the little things that might make your schedule run behind, and try to allow yourself breaks.

  • There’s benefits to having a first look or waiting to see each other at the ceremony.

It’s up to you, but here are a couple pros to seeing each other before the ceremony:

You have some alone time together

You can go right into couple portraits instead of having them after the ceremony

  • First touch: Instead of seeing each other you can hold your partner’s hand without looking.

First look with a parent: Meet your parent and let them see how wonderful their child looks on their wedding day.

First look with your wedding party: Finish getting dressed in a separate room and let your wedding party be surprised.

First look at yourself: You can get your dress/tux on without looking in the mirror, and then turn around to see how beautiful you look!

  • Your photographer and other vendors are here to make sure your wedding runs smoothly. Utilize your team to keep everything on track.

Your DJ/MC can announce your entrance, cake cutting, first dance, etc. Your officiant can let guests know when the ceremony is starting, to silence their phones and ask family to stick around for photos.
